SEATTLE, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ — Validating the company's vision to put powerful graphics capabilities in the hands of mainstream computer users, Visio Corp. (Nasdaq: VSIO) today announced it now has one million Visio users worldwide. Underlying this achievement is the company's work to give new meaning to business visualization, which has involved bringing Visio technology to new, emerging markets and delivering unprecedented graphics benefits for better communication and problem solving.

Since the launch of Visio® 1.0 in 1992, Visio has announced four successful product updates as well as new Visio product offerings, including Visio Technical, Visio Professional and a variety of solutions showcased on the Visio Solutions Library™ online catalog (http://www.visio.com/solutions/). Visio has also identified markets representing significant opportunity for Visio technology to be applied as a visualization tool and has sought strategic partners in those markets including Microsoft Corp., SAP AG and ESRI.
